What's the Problem with Your Problem?
A mentor taught me to look at problems this way. I love it. We so often treat something we feel, do, or think as a problem. But what if it’s not a problem? What if it’s okay to do it, feel it, or think it? If we take away the judgment or resistance, what do we find beneath it?
Often, it’s a deeper version of who we really are, and we can start asking questions from a more honest place. We can flip it: if there isn’t a problem, what are you left with? Are you left with melancholy, exhaustion, boredom? OK, now you’re making room for your real voice to be heard.
So I like to ask myself: what is the problem with my problem?
